What is Feves au Lard?
Feves au Lard (baked beans) are a traditional meal in many Quebec households, at breakfast, at restaurants and at the cabane a sucre (sugar shack). Quebec-style beans contain maple syrup and sometimes salted pork. The dish is not very common anymore, but you will find it if you know where to look.
If you do not get a chance to go to the cabane a sucre you can always buy the canned version at any local grocery store. For example: IGA
