What is Ramen?
Ramen is a noodle soup dish, consisting of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat or occasionally fish-based broth, and uses toppings such as sliced pork, dried seaweed, green onions, and seasoned boiled eggs. A wide variety of ramen exists in Japan, with region and vendor-specific differences. Ramen is inexpensive and widely available, which is why it has become one of the most popular dishes in Japan in recent decades.
