What is Githeri?

Githeri also known as muthere or mutheri is a Kenyan staple dish made with maize and different types of beans boiled together in water. Salt, pepper, seasoning and herbs can be added to Githeri to suit one’s preference. Githeri originates from the Kikuyu tribe but has become popular across the country with different tribes creating own variations.
