What is Pavlova?
Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert with a light and delicate crisp crust and a soft sweet marshmallow center. It is usually topped with cream and fruits such as strawberries. The dessert is popular in Australia and New Zealand and is said to be named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova in honour of her 1920s tour.
