What is Pad Thai?

Pad Thai or Phad Thai is a rice noodle stir-fry with dried and/or fresh shrimp, bean sprouts, tofu, egg, and seasonings, and is traditionally served with lime halves, a few stalks of Chinese chives, and coriander leaves. Pad Thai is Thailand’s most famous dish and can be found on the street and at casual local eateries all over Thailand.
