What is Satay?
Satay is grilled meat on a skewer often served with a peanut sauce and cucumber pickles. In Thailand, pork, chicken, or beef are the types of meat used for satay, but pork is the most popular. It is a popular snack or light meal all over Southeast Asia, but is thought to have originated in Indonesia, where it is called sate. Satay can be found at street food stalls throughout Thailand or in a Thai Islam restaurants.
